NLA & NLB, Switzerland
Its Battle of the Brits in Switzerland this weekend and it couldn’t be a more important game. Bertelli’s 4th place Volley Köniz take on Osborne & Goulet’s 5th place VC Kanti Schaffhausen. Both teams are equal on points and games won/lost and both teams could do with winning this game to help guarantee that top 5 spot for playoffs.

Bertelli

Bertelli comments…..“I’m looking forward to Saturdays game against Schaffhausen, and of course against my fellow Brits! Having just qualified for the last 8 of the CEV Challenge Cup with a strong performance we are looking to build on that this weekend. We know Kanti well so it’s a case of who can deliver it on the day. With league points at stake we know it’s important but we will focus on delivering a performance again.”

Osborne

Osborne comments…..“Following on from a good team performance last week, Kanti are hoping to build again for this week’s battle against Koeniz.  We are both on the same number of points and hungry to secure that top 5 spot. With the league entertaining many upsets so far, we cant rely on other teams’ results but need to take it to them ourselves. Koeniz had a good performance this week, after a little eb in their flow, and will no doubt be gunning for us too. Game on. Let the battle commence!”

This weekend Thom’s VBC Biel-Bienne take on Toggenburg. Thom comments….”Toggenburg are one above us in the league so we are looking for a win this weekend. It should be a good test for us to see what improvements we have made and good preparation for the up and coming play-outs. It has been a good training week so hopefully we can bring it to the game on Saturday”.
