“Money 4 Matches” is the current fundraising strategy for the Great Britain Womens Volleyball Team
The aim is to raise money to allow the team to play as many high quality international matches as possible to ensure that we can be successful in London 2012, and critical to this is to compete as a team in the MEVZA inter-country league during the 2011–2012 winter period, which will offer an additional 30 high level competitive matches.
Cycle 250
The GB Women’s team have successfully completed their Cycle 250. After a couple of wrong turns the calculated 272 mile cycle turned out to be 310!! Exhausted but delighted, the team cycled into Trafalgar Square to coincide with the Team 2012 celebrations marking 2 years to go to the Olympics. It was a real team effort and our drive, resilience and determination were evident throughout, playing a huge part in conquering some of the hills we encountered!!
Thank you to all who supported us and helped make this happen. It was an amazing experience and would not have happened without the hard work and dedication put in by so many people. Check the Cycle 250 page for more info, daily blogs, video footage, photos and press releases.
